Civil War

It’s been a long time since I saw a movie and stayed in my seat for a few minutes when it was over. It’s about a group of journalists that are trying to get to DC before the military gets there with the goal to interview the president before anybody else does or he gets taken out.

Yes, I expected this to be a political movie, most likely against the MAGA movement and with that in mind, expected a bunch of shots against it. I knew it wouldn’t be that direct but with an underlying message. Instead I found myself not sure which side was the good guys or bad guys. I’m not going to spoil it here.

The movie is incredibly graphic and seems so real we could see all of that kind of stuff happening. Very disturbing. I’m not going to compare it to Schindler’s List but I got to say I had the same sick feeling when it was over.

I would NOT recommend this movie for anybody under the age of 21 unless they are very mature. I also wouldn’t recommend it for half of my friends and I definitely would not go and see this with someone on your opposite politically.

That said, one of the best movies I’ve ever seen not just for the story but the so realistic scenes that I question if some of them were from actual atrocities footage we’d never see on the news but actually happened. I don’t know.
