This is a feel good movie that you can bring any age with you. I don’t think if you’re a strong supporter of Trump or a MAGA, you’ll enjoy this so that’s probably the only group I’d recommend not to see this. I’m not trying to make a political point, just don’t think my friends that lean that way, would enjoy a movie that leans the other direction.
It’s based off a true story back in the 50’s when most of the adult males had returned from World War II. The star of the movie moves to Del Rio, TX, attempts to join a country club, is turned down because he’s a Mexican-American. He’s also the superintendent of a local school who in turn puts together a golf team.
It’s a feel good story that is very predictable, both the good and bad. I don’t believe there was any cursing, no nudity and no violence, thus any age can see it. There is a couple things that are not explained at the end that I believe they should have, thus lowered my rating by a point.
I’m glad I saw it but is one that can be seen on TV later.
